About Us

ThroForm LLC is a small, family-owned and operated business started in Boise, Idaho by inventor Jeremy Ward.

Hey there! I'm Jeremy Ward- creator of the ThroForm training aid, and owner of ThroForm LLC. I started playing disc golf around 2021 after discovering its amazing community, scenic courses, and endless awesome discs to collect. Needless to say, I was immediately hooked. Today I play local leagues and tournaments, and stay busy with my full-time career working for the USGS. My wife and co-owner, Hannah, with her love and compassion for animals, also owns and operates another small business: Always There Pet & Plant Care. We live in our hometown of Boise, Idaho with our beloved rescue companions: three dogs and one very sweet old cat.

So, how did I come up with this product? The idea came to me while watching a form video by Ezra Aderhold talking about the power pocket. Getting the disc into the power pocket was always a struggle for me. My "rounding" problem was bad. I wanted a way to put my body into the right position so I could practice this easily. I enjoy tinkering and creating devices, so I started messing around with ideas to keep my upper arm away from my chest without impeding the throwing motion. The basic design for the product emerged: an old belt and a cam-strap from home depot attached to an elbow brace. Not ideal. But hey, it worked mechanically and I could practice with it... Though it was very uncomfortable and looked ridiculous. My goal soon became to make a more functional, comfortable, and discrete version.

Ten or so prototypes later, the ThroForm was created! What you see today is the product of many field work sessions, late night rounds, product development, sewing machine instructional DVDs, helpful people, and some luck. Since creating the ThroForm, it not only significantly improved my rounding problem, but many of my friends' as well. This encouraged us to share this training aid with the disc golf community! Now we are proud to say the ThroForm is the first, and currently the only, disc golf training aid that directly helps with form. A huge thank you to our family, friends, and all the people supporting what was once just an idea into a reality!

The goal now is to help beginners, and even experienced players, make practice sessions and rounds easier, by taking away a huge variable in the throwing motion. Let's all grow the game and make disc golf fun by getting better with ThroForm!
