FAQ
1. What does the ThroForm do?
Essentially, the ThroForm inhibits your upper arm from collapsing onto your chest to prevent bad rounding habits while throwing backhands. This will ultimately help you to build muscle memory, and throw more accurately and further with less effort. More information on our Instructions page.
2. How do I use the ThroForm?
It's pretty simple! The first step is to ensure your ThroForm is fitted correctly. This is very important. (Check out our Instructions page, as well as our Instagram @throform and YouTube channel @ThroForm for more information on fitting your ThroForm.) Next, begin throwing stand-still shots to start. Keep the disc in a straight line to the target on the reach back. This will put you into the ideal position so you can start building muscle memory. The goal is to eventually not feel the back strap resisting your arm throughout the entire throw.
3. How do I adjust the ThroForm back strap slide buckle properly?
Correct adjustment is key. Hold your arm out to the side of your body with the ThroForm on. Slowly bring your arm out in front of you. You want the back strap to start resisting your arm before your arm is perpendicular to your chest. Some people may overpower the device more than others. In these cases, adjust as necessary. More information on our Instructions page.
4. Can I wear the ThroForm over a jacket or long-sleeve shirt?
It is not recommended to put the ThroForm on over bulky and long-sleeved clothing, especially the armband. The armband tends to slip up the arm if there is clothing under it, which defeats the purpose of the device. However, you can put a ThroForm on underneath a jacket.
5. Will the ThroForm fix my form?
The ThroForm is intended to be an addition to your practice routine. This device will help you identify and correct bad rounding habits, while building muscle memory for throwing backhands correctly. As long as your ThroForm is fitted and worn correctly (see FAQ #2-4), this device is a true game changer!
6. Does the ThroForm help forehand throws?
No. Do not attempt forehand throws with this product. You can easily remove the hook-and-loop fastener armband when putting and throwing forehands, without having to take off the entire product.
7. What is the right ThroForm size for me?
In general,
Adult Small: Select a size small if you tend to wear a size X-Small or Small in unisex t-shirts.
Adult Regular: Select a size regular if you tend to wear a size Medium or Large in unisex t-shirts.
